Our families could easily have been forgiven for forgetting that we were still in the depths of winter as the Swan Valley turned on the perfect weather for our latest camp weekend.
Wall to wall sunshine allowed everyone to enjoy the park facilities to the fullest, with go karts to ride, playgrounds and some even venturing into the pool.
Kids and adults alike were very excited for our first activity, the Margaret River Chocolate Factory, where our families got to take part in a chocolate making masterclass. Everyone loved the chance to get their hands into pouring, piping and spreading the chocolatey goodness. Not all of it made it into the moulds though, with many opportunities taken of piping straight from bag to mouth.
Back at the park and the afternoon brought the arrival of the Gaming Vault. A chance for kids to get competitive over video games on big screens in a custom truck.
For the artistic amongst the group, a paint and sip session provided a leisurely afternoon to get the creative juices flowing.
After a busy day of camp activities, Sunday morning began at a more gentle pace with breakfast in the camp kitchen and the chance to add more leaves to our shared artwork for the year, our Camp Karri
Big thanks go to Siran and Kristen for organising and hosting the weekend. Our final weekend camp for the year will be held in Busselton in October. We look forward to seeing many of you there.
