Family Fun Day - North Beach

“Best one yet” was the verdict following our recent Family Fun Day Camp by one of our younger members.

Our families gathered at Charles Riley Reserve in North Perth for day filled with a range of activities for small and big kids alike.

First up was a Camp favourite, Suitcase Circus. A chance for our families to try their hands at plate spinning, juggling, hula hooping, stilt walking or even riding a unicycle. Tricky skills to master, some were more successful than others, but everyone enjoyed having a go.

We were joined by a face painter for those who were keen on adding a splash of colour, and it wasn’t just the kids who got in on the action. It wasn’t to be the only colourful activity for the day.

Lunch time with a difference came round, with our families getting creative in the kitchen with ‘Build your own pizzas’ and ‘Decorate a donut’.

The afternoon brought the outdoor activities, and on a warm April day, what better way to cool off than with Ice Sledding! Yep, large blocks of ice used to sled down a hill.

The main event of the afternoon though was our Colour Run! Everyone loved the obstacles, challenges and just the chance to get covered from head to toe in every colour under the sun

Of course the only way to properly clean yourself off after that much colour is with a good old fashioned water battle and slip and slide

A sausage sizzle rounded off the afternoon, with a chance to take a breather after a big day of fun and frivolities.

Thanks to all our families for joining us, and thanks to Tina and Siran for organising the day. It was a massive hit and everyone had a great time.
